Meet Meagé
The Unbothered Therapist®
You’ve been holding it down for everyone—but who holds space for you?
You’ve shown up. Stayed strong. Pushed through.
You’ve mastered survival mode—because you had to.
But lately, even that doesn’t feel sustainable.
The fatigue is deep. The boundaries are frayed. And your body is asking for something softer.
You’re not failing. You’re just overdue for care that honors all of you—not just the version that gets things done.
I’m Meagé (she/her), and I walk with people who are done performing their healing—and ready to truly feel it.
For years, I over-functioned and under-nurtured. I internalized the idea that my worth was tied to doing, fixing, and holding it all together.
I know what it’s like to choose yourself—and to feel the quiet grief of that choice when it goes against everything you were taught.
It wasn’t until I started listening to my body, setting boundaries I could actually keep, and grieving what I never received that true healing began.
That’s what I want to offer you, too—whether through therapy, coaching, or movement:
a space to soften, to be seen, and to come back to yourself.
What Makes My Approach Different
At Unbothered Psychotherapy and Wellness, I offer whole-person care grounded in trauma-informed, decolonized, and nervous system-aware practices. My clients don’t want a surface-level “self-care checklist.” They want real change that feels safe in their bodies.
Whether we're in a therapy session, coaching space, or movement practice, my approach is:
✔ Rooted in identity-affirming, anti-oppressive values
✔ Built on trust, choice, and relational safety
✔ Focused on body awareness, not performance
✔ Collaborative and compassionate—never prescriptive
I don’t believe healing is linear. I believe it’s relational. And I’m here to walk with you as you reclaim your rhythm.
Who I Work With
I specialize in supporting women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ folks, and high-capacity helpers—especially those who are:
Healing from family estrangement or complex relational trauma
Living with burnout, compassion fatigue, or chronic tension
Unlearning people-pleasing and over-functioning
Exploring life transitions and grief
Wanting to reconnect with their bodies and nervous systems
Craving slower, more sustainable forms of care
Whether you’re coming to therapy, coaching, or movement work, I’ll meet you where you are—with care that centers your pace, your truth, and your wholeness.
Outside the Healing Space...
When I’m not holding space, you’ll find me exploring the vibrant DMV brunch scene, curled up with a captivating book, or getting lost in a home décor project. I find joy in creativity—whether it’s DIYing something cozy or making a space feel like a soft landing.
Movement is one of my favorite ways to come back to myself. Whether I’m lifting heavy, doing a challenging HIIT workout, or stretching slowly with intention, I approach movement as a form of care. I’ve even competed in a weightlifting competition or two. I love helping others build strength in ways that feel safe and empowering.
My dog, Cayenne, is my daily reminder to pause, play, and stay grounded in joy.
I’m a proud “bougie auntie” who shows love through curated snacks, check-in texts, and thoughtful spoiling. And like many of my clients, I’m on a lifelong journey of healing.
Still unlearning. Still becoming. Still showing up.
